Tattoo Aftercare Guide

Cleanse:

Wash your new tattoo with antibacterial soap and lukewarm water using clean fingers within the first few days. Then, pat it dry. Apply a thin layer of tattoo lotion or ointment three to four times daily to hydrate and protect the area.

Moisturize:

Wash your tattoo at least twice daily with warm water before patting it dry. If the tattoo leaks fluids, don’t worry. This is normal and should go away after a few days. Apply a light aftercare lotion three to four times daily to keep it hydrated and reduce scarring and itching.

Apply Ointment:

As your tattoo heals, it may become discolored and flaky. Wash your hands before touching the tattoo to avoid spreading bacteria. Apply a light layer of ointment that allows airflow to your pores. Hustle Butter is a recommended ointment.

Keep It Clean:

Use mild, fragrance-free soap when cleansing the tattoo area. Always wash your hands beforehand to prevent infection. After cleaning, apply a thin layer of tattoo-specific moisturizer. Avoid over-moisturizing to allow proper ventilation for the skin.

Hydration:

Keeping your tattoo hydrated is crucial for proper healing. Use a moisturizer designed for Tattoos and apply a light coating. This helps maintain a natural skin barrier and protects the newly inked skin from damage.
