Selena Gomez’s Back Tattoo

Keith Scott “Bang Bang” McCurdy recently unveiled Selena Gomez’s new back tattoo: an elegant water-colored rose that begins just under her neck and flows between her shoulder blades. Cara Delevingne inspired this design for herself, not for the first time either; ink artist Matt Holcomb also inked prayer hands adorned with rosaries which she debuted at the 2019 American Music Awards.

Roses

Selena Gomez’s back tattoo features one of the most breathtaking rose designs ever. Created by celebrity tattoo artist Keith Scott “Bang Bang” McCurdy, the watercolor rose design begins from her neckbone and extends down between her shoulder blades – genuinely mesmerizing! At first, seen only in black-and-white on Instagram two weeks ago, this piece is exceptional – now we can see it fully colored! On Tuesday, Gomez’s tattoo artist shared its full-color version with us. Instagram post showing her new ink: it features a pink watercolor rose that sits just beneath Roman numerals, possibly inspired by Cara Delevingne (also sporting rose-tatt). Gomez has several rose-themed tattoos; her upper left thigh features praying hands and rosary designs, as well as a number design above her right elbow that pays homage to “Rare,” one of the songs she wrote. In contrast, wrist tattoos also serve as tributes to friends and family members.

Arrows

Selena Gomez boasts an extensive collection of tattoos. Ranging from a tiny cross on her left collarbone to an eye-catching cursive “G” behind her left ear, the singer/actress/songwriter sports more ink than any aspiring artist could need! Her back tattoo features two arrows to symbolize friendship and was inked along with Julia Michaels, who also has one. Singer Lady Gaga also sports a small religious tattoo on her neck, which depicts two arrows with a rosary draped around them. Mandy Teefey was born in 1976. This painting serves as a fitting tribute to her. As her Instagram caption conveys, it expresses their affection for each other. She got another tattoo representing Project SemicolonSemicolon – an organization dedicated to mental health awareness and suicide prevention – on her other wrist. This semicolonsemicolon stands for Project SemicolonSemicolon.

Friendships

Selena Gomez has had many close relationships throughout her teen career, which have become the subject of several tattoos she now sports. One of Cara Delevingne’s latest back tattoos features a pink rose that cascades down her body, created in collaboration between celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang and model Cara Delevingne, who have been close for some time. They share many mutual interests. On December 15, 2021, Bang Bang uploaded a black-and-white photograph of Selena facing backward and displayed her latest work of art. Fans quickly responded enthusiastically to this unique design. Gomez boasts many tattoos, but this particular ink holds special meaning for her as it marks an important chapter in her life – specifically, its symbolic date of her kidney transplant surgery.

Music

Selena Gomez has collected many tattoos throughout her career, but the one on her back from Bang Bang is extraordinary. Bang Bang posted an Instagram photo showing it off on December 15. This tattoo features the Arabic phrase for “Love yourself first.” It took 45 minutes for her artist to carve this design on her body – it looks beautiful! tattoos also represent their struggle with depression and anxiety; she has seen some dark days, so this tattoo reminds her to take time for herself and love herself more fully. She also sports several tattoos with deeper meaning, including one commemorating her 2017 kidney transplant and another dedicated to suicide prevention. Additionally, she got one alongside some of the cast members from 13 Reasons Why, a show which deals with mental health issues.
