Angelina Jolie Arm Tattoo – Arabic Script

Angelina Jolie’s Tattoos hold deep significance for her. One Arabic script tattoo, “determination,” covers up a tattoo she received when married to Billy Bob Thornton.

Arabic Script Tattoo

Angelina Jolie is no stranger to tattooing and already sports several black inkings across her body. She unveiled another addition while filming the sequel First They Killed My Father in Sydney, Australia. A forearm tattoo reminiscent of an Arabic script was revealed, said to symbolize determination. She wears a Khmer prayer on her shoulder to protect Maddox and an inscription reading “Know Your Rights.” Her upper arm features an ancient dragon with window blinds covering it to represent her Cambodian citizenship, along with inked coordinates of Maddox (12), Pax (9), Shiloh (7), and Zahara (8) being born – representing Cambodia.

Roman Number 13

Angelina Jolie is one of Hollywood’s most successful actresses. Known for her acting talent and humanitarian efforts, she has appeared in films such as Gone in 60 Seconds, Girl Interrupted, Wanted, and Tomb Raider films, garnering numerous nominations and awards in recognition of these roles. Star has a Roman numeral tattoo on her left arm reading “XIII V MCMXL.” This tribute to Winston Churchill and his famous speech of May 13, 1940, is shown by this tattoo. Starr also sports a rune-style tattoo of the letter H on her wrist; whether this represents her former flame Timothy Hutton or sister Janes Haven remains to be seen. She also wears Native American designs and geographical coordinates of their children’s birthplaces on her left arm for further decoration.

Native American Tattoo

Angelina Jolie is well known for her body art and tattoo collection. Most recently, she added another design to her arsenal – an oriental square pattern that may or may not represent protection. Unfortunately, it remains unknown. Jolie has a Bengal Tiger and a blue window tattooed on her lower back. The window symbolizes her tendency to stare out windows longingly while staring through them herself. At the same time, her tiger serves as a cover-up for an abstract lines tattoo she got during her relationship with Billy Bob Thornton. On her wrist is a rune tattoo of the letter H, which may represent either James Haven or Timothy Hutton as potential family members or former lovers. Additionally, she bears Geographic Coordinates that reflect where each of her children was born on her upper arm – these represent where each was conceived and birthed.

Letter H

Angelina Jolie sports a rune-style tattoo on her left wrist, which bears the letter H, said to be in memory of her brother James Haven and/or as a tribute to ex-partner Timothy Hutton. On her inner left arm is a quote from Tennessee Williams’ 1941 play Stairs to the Roof that reads: “A prayer for those of wild spirit kept in cages.” She also sports the geographical coordinates of her children’s birth locations tattooed onto her upper arm, including one set believed to represent ex-husband Brad Pitt’s place of birth in 2011. Before this, she had also had a dragon and the name of Billy Bob tattooed onto her arm – both were later lasered off.

Roman Numerals

Angelina Jolie sports on her left bicep a tattoo featuring Roman numerals: XIII V MCMXL, which stands for 13 May 1940 and honors Winston Churchill’s famous phrase: “blood, toil, tears, and sweat.” This tribute to him honors his renowned phrase that defines American history: blood, toil, tears, sweat. She wears the letter H for James Haven on one arm and a decorated swirl to show her Buddhist faith. She chose the swirling tattoo to cover an abstract lines tattoo she received during her marriage with Billy Bob Thornton. She added two new swirls around old Roman numerals on her left forearm, representing determination. Additionally, Tennessee Williams’ quote can be found on her inner forearm: “A prayer for those wild at heart who live their lives in cages.”
